Good morning , now we have had our Regulation two days of sunshine and normal service resumed come into the warmth of Goole salvation army and pick up some great bargains of new and preloved items.

‘The Bible records how God reassured people who were going through tough times: “As a mother comforts her son, so I will comfort you” (Isaiah 66:13 Christian Standard Bible).

Whether today brings celebration, sadness or something in between, we can all draw on a steady source of love.

If we choose to follow God, we can know that he will celebrate with us in joyful times, comfort us in grief and be there for us in every other situation every day.’

Hi everyone 💛

As you may know, our manager Tora helps run Endo Buddies, a charity that supports people living with endometriosis. I’m hoping our local community might be able to help her (and us!) by saving a few small items that would otherwise be thrown away.

We are collecting:

📮 Used stamps from envelopes
🪙 Old UK coins that are now out of circulation
🌍 Foreign coins or currency
📿 Broken or unwanted costume jewellery – including odd earrings, tangled chains, broken pieces etc.

These are all items we usually can’t sell in the shop, but they can still be recycled to raise funds through Recycling for Good Causes.

The money raised helps us create care packages for people living with endometriosis, which we give out at Hull Royal Infirmary, Castle Hill Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital, and York Hospital. We also post care packages out nationally to people who need support.

So if you’re opening post, please save the stamps, and if you have any old coins, foreign currency, or broken jewellery tucked away in drawers, we would be so grateful for them.
