The Godmanchester Litterpickers have collected about 90 bags of rubbish from around our town so far this year.

We have also collected numerous bags of dog poo - the latest cache of about 12 bags was discovered in the undergrowth where Middlemiss ends and joins the cut-through to London Road.

To the person(s) responsible, please put your dog poo bag in the bin.

The Godmanchester Litterpickers were very busy through the cold months of January and February keeping our town clean and litter free.

We collected 65 bags of rubbish and reported several incidents of fly tipping.

These are the areas cleaned up today by some of the Godmanchester Litterpickers;

Chadley Lane, Park Lane, The Avenue to the Bridge, Field Walk and Rushes Walk, Pinfold Lane, Pipers, Old Court Hall, Tudor Road, London Road, Silver Street the Causeway, Cambridge Road.

Other members of our team went out during the week.

We’ve collected 12 bags of rubbish since Monday.

We decided that we would not arrange any more community litterpicks as they were not well attended - or indeed attended at all. Instead, this morning we held our first group litterpick of 2025.
We spent a couple of hours litterpicking around Godmanchester, noted the fly tipping at the end of Bester’s Walk, and rounded off the morning with coffee at the Black Bull.
We collected 12 bags of rubbish.

Godmanchester looks great!
