Loneliness might not be the first symptom you think of when dealing with a dementia diagnosis but it's one we see affecting sufferers and their carers every day.

Our dementia friendship and support group in Milford provides a welcoming safe space and a chance to socialise for people with memory loss AND their carers. Come along tomorrow.

The sessions are filled with activities, fun, and visits from local services. Tea and biscuits included. Donations are welcome to help us continue providing this valuable service.

What a fabulous Saturday we’ve had at our 10-3 Club! Today we enjoyed a USA-themed day, complete with American food, music, games, activities, plenty of stars and stripes — and, of course, some very glamorous hats!

But behind all the fun is something that makes our 10-3 respite service really special. We are a small team who know our guests as individuals — their personalities, their interests, their abilities, the things they enjoy and, just as importantly, the things that might make them feel uncomfortable or anxious and that’s exactly what we want our 10-3 Club to be — a place where people feel known, valued and included. Today was full of laughter, friendship, encouragement and those little moments that make a day memorable.

Because respite isn’t just about giving families a much-needed break — although that is incredibly important too.It’s about giving the person coming through our doors their own day, their own friendships, their own experiences and a sense of belonging. It’s not just respite, It’s being part of something.

Our 10-3 club runs Monday to Friday (extended day available) and once a month on Saturdays. Our next Saturday is October 24th. To find out more please call 01483 420668.
