Surrey PWRR ACF The Army Cadets is about fun, friendship and adventure In Surrey there are over 550 cadets enjoying action, adventure training, fun and friendship.

The ACF is a national voluntary youth organisation, sponsored by the Army and providing challenging military, adventurous and community activities. We welcome boys and girls from the age of 12 of all abilities and backgrounds, and through a broad range of exciting, challenging, educational and adventurous activities, help them develop physically, mentally and socially. Combining military and commu

nity activities gives cadets a unique blend of personal development opportunities, all designed to promote fun and friendship while also helping them prepare for success in their chosen path in life.

Spotlight on Minden Platoon! 🎖️⭐

While the main camp was in full swing, the 3 Star and 4 Star cadets of Minden Platoon were based at a separate training camp for the entire week and they delivered an incredible performance! 🔥

Stepping into advanced leadership roles, Minden Platoon pushed through the full syllabus requirements for their respective star levels. From complex fieldcraft tactics and advanced patrol exercises to high level drill and command scenarios, these senior cadets put in relentless work from day one.

Your hard work, discipline, and leadership set the standard for the entire county. Outstanding effort, Minden Platoon,you’ve earned those passes! 👏🏆

Day 7: Awards, achievements, and celebrations! 🏆🎖️

What a way to wrap up our final full day! Today was all about recognizing the incredible hard work, dedication, and growth of our cadets with major parades and presentations. 👏✨

Congratulations to everyone who earned their 1 Star and 2 Star passes, as well as the cadets who pushed through for their 3 Star and 4 Star badges! We also celebrated Duke of Edinburgh achievements and individual trophy wins at regional, national, and international competition levels! Absolutely outstanding effort. 🥇

Day 6: Test day in the field and on the square! 🌿

The pressure was on today as Anzio and Burma Companies deployed out into the field to put their training to the test for their official fieldcraft assessments! ⛺️

Back on camp, the rest of the cadets were putting in the work on the parade square, completing their Drill assessments with sharp timing and serious precision.

Big focus, high standards, and incredible determination across the board today! 💪🔥

Day 5: Special guests & high standards! 🎯🎖

Another action packed day in the books and a very special one! We were honored to welcome a visit from the Lord Lieutenant, who came to see our cadets in action across camp. 👑✨

The cadets kept the momentum high with Drill, Skill at Arms, First Aid assessments, Air Rifle shooting, and CIS comms modules. They also headed out to the 25m range to hone their marksmanship on the GP service rifle (no photos on the firing point today all focus on safety and precision!). 🎯

An incredible display of discipline and effort for our distinguished guest today. Fantastic work, everyone! 💪🔥

Bonus Post: Making a splash! ⛵️🏄‍♂️

Yesterday was all about Adventurous Training! Our cadets hit the water for an incredible day of sailing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and raft building! 🌊✨

From mastering the wind to testing out their engineering skills on home-made rafts and staying upright on the paddleboards - there were plenty of laughs, brilliant teamwork, and a fair few soakings! 💦 Classic camp memories in the making. 📸👇

Day 4: From drill to the field! 🎯🌿

Another packed day on camp! Cadets spent the day sharpening up with Skill at Arms training and drill practice, before moving out into the field for hands on fieldcraft, command tasks, and team building exercises. 🧩💪

Highlight of the week so far? Last night’s Laser Clay shooting! 💥 Super fun, mega competitive, and brilliant energy all round.

Morale remains high as everyone continues pushing through! 🔥🙌
