πŸ† Surrey ACF Team Triumphs at Prestigious Cambrian Patrol 2026 πŸ†

Over the weekend, our incredible Surrey ACF team headed to Sennybridge, Wales, to take on the legendary Cadet Cambrian Patrols 2026 and they absolutely smashed it! ✨

Facing off against 19 of the toughest ACF and CCF teams from across the UK, our cadets were pushed to their absolute limits.

What they faced:

πŸ₯Ύ A grueling 25km trek across unforgiving Welsh terrain.

🌦️ Notoriously unpredictable, brutal weather.

🧠 Intense tactical tests in Signals, Fieldcraft, First Aid, and leadership.

With the pressure on to defend our previous titles, the team showed pure grit, flawless teamwork, and ultimate professionalism.

The result? They didn't just survive - they conquered!

🌲 Back to basics in the field!

At the beginning of May, cadets from Anzio Company headed out on FTX - Ex First Step. It was an action packed weekend of hands on training!

β›Ί Basic Cadets mastered the essentials of fieldcraft, from setting up bashas and harbour areas to perfecting basic patrolling.

πŸŽ–οΈ One Star Cadets took it to the next level on the ground, sharpening their skills in sentry duties, harbour drills, and stalking.

Brilliant effort from everyone involved. Who's ready for the next one? πŸ‘‡

Back in March, our fantastic cadets were out in force volunteering at the Surrey Half Marathon!

They did an amazing job manning the busy finish funnel, cheering on the runners, and handing out much-needed snacks and water to the finishers across all distances. πŸ₯€πŸ

A massive well done to all the runners, and a huge thank you to our cadets for giving up their weekend to support the local community. You represented the ACF brilliantly! πŸ‘

On Friday 17th, the Senior NCOs of Burma Company, Surrey ACF, were invited to attend an NCO Mess Dinner hosted by the Burma Company’s Cadet CSM at The Mill, Elstead.

The evening was attended by the Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Burma OC, Burma Training Officer, and guest speaker, Thomas Burgess, from Save A Warrior.

It was a fantastic occasion, with the Senior NCOs dressed impeccably for the event, representing themselves and Burma Company with real pride. The dinner gave everyone the opportunity to come together, network, and enjoy an excellent meal in a formal setting.

Judging by the comments from both officers and cadets, the evening was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

A huge thank you to Thomas Burgess for making the time to attend and for the long journey to be with us. Your support and contribution to the evening were greatly appreciated.

On 7 - 8 February, cadets from across Surrey ACF came together for the Junior Cadet Instructors Course (JCIC) πŸ’ͺ

JCIC gives cadets the skills and confidence to step up as instructors, teaching lessons at Basic and 1 star level. Throughout the weekend they learned and practised Cadet Force Instructional Techniques (CFIT) - developing leadership, communication and the ability to deliver clear, engaging lessons.

These cadets can now take their knowledge back to their detachments, helping train and inspire the next generation of cadets πŸ‘

A huge well done to everyone who attended - great effort all round! πŸ”₯
