Feeling incredibly proud of our 1st Ockford Ridge Guides, who put on a fantastic show for their parents last night! 💛

There was so much talent on display—singing, dancing, keyboard playing, magic tricks, and joke telling 🎭🎶✨

To top it all off, they finished with this brilliant group song as their grand finale… such a wonderful event, with one parent describing it as heartwarming!

Well done girls—you were amazing 👏💫

We want to celebrating the women who lift, guide, cheer, comfort, and champion the young people in their lives. Whether you’re a mum, step‑mum, grandparent, carer, big sister, foster parent, or a brilliant grown‑up who shows up with love, thank you for everything you do.

We also want to shine a little extra light on our incredible volunteers. So many of you give your time, energy, and hearts to support girls week after week, often on top of caring for your own families. You create safe spaces, spark confidence, and help girls discover just how powerful they can be. That’s a gift that lasts far beyond today.

It's getting very Christmassy around here! Looks like our 2nd Milford Brownies had a great time at their Christmas residential 🎅🎄☃️❄️

Our 1st Ockford Ridge Guides had a wonderful day yesterday — they went to Wembley Stadium to watch the England Lionesses take on China, and what an incredible match it was, filled with excitement and plenty of goals! ⚽️

Some of the Guides had asked to see a women’s football match together, so their fantastic leaders made it happen. The Lionesses were so inspiring, and it was amazing for our girls to see their heroes in action.

It’s so important that they grow up knowing they can follow in the footsteps of the brilliant Lionesses — aiming high, breaking barriers, and chasing any dream they choose. 🌟 Who knows… maybe one day one of them could be the next Beth Mead, Chloe Kelly, or Lucy Bronze!

Even more special, two of the Guides made their Promise in the stadium — we bet not many other Girlguiding members can say they’ve done that!

A fantastic day of friendship, fun, and unforgettable memories.

Our units were out in force this weekend at Remembrance parades in Elstead, Milford, Witley, and Godalming (Ockford Ridge units).
Thank you to all our Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and Leaders for representing Girlguiding so wonderfully and for honouring those who gave their lives. 🌺

Tabitha, one of our Hambledon District leaders, was invited to attend this year's red carpet Girlguiding Celebrates event at Odeon Manchester, in honour of achieving her Queen's Guide award, the highest award in Girlguiding.

Along with drinks and canapés, there was entertainment from the National Scout and Guide Big Band and talks and recordings from various special guests, such as adventurer and Girlguiding ambassador Anna McNuff and Dame Jacqueline Wilson. The afternoon was hosted by the Chief Guide team who greeted everyone on arrival and mingled to chat!

It was a fabulous afternoon celebrating so many inspirational Girlguiding leaders from around the UK. Congratulations to all!

We're Guiding for Good!

Our units have been living out their promise to serve their community. Milford Brownies and Guides did a big litter pick around their village, and Elstead Rainbows did a clean up of their war memorial.

Guiding for Good is happening all over our region from 4-12 October. If you see any Girlguiding members out and about Guiding for Good please stop and say hello!

1st Elstead Rainbows had so much fun on an autumn walk at the beautiful Winkworth Arboretum this week.

The unit would like to say a big thank you to Winkworth for the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in such a special place! 🌈🍂
