📣 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – HELP KEEP STARBURST RANGERS OPEN! 💙

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join Starburst Rangers in Godalming and help us continue providing a fantastic space for local girls aged 14–17.

⭐ What are Rangers?
Rangers is the Girlguiding section for girls aged 14–17.

Our Rangers take part in all sorts of activities – learning valuable life skills, supporting community events, going on adventures, making friends and, most importantly, having lots of fun!

⚠️ But we urgently need more volunteers.

The unit is currently being run by leaders who already volunteer with Brownies and Guides elsewhere in the district. They’re doing a brilliant job, but Starburst Rangers really needs volunteers who can dedicate their time specifically to the unit.

Without additional volunteers, the unit will unfortunately have to close.

💙 Why volunteer with Girlguiding?

Volunteering is incredibly rewarding – and lots of fun! As a volunteer, you can:

🎒 Enjoy activities and adventures
🌍 Get involved in your local community
💪 Help girls and young women develop confidence and essential life skills

No previous Girlguiding experience is needed. Full training and support will be provided.

We’d love to hear from anyone who is enthusiastic, enjoys working with young people and would like to make a real difference.

💻 Prefer to help behind the scenes?
We’re also looking for volunteers who could support the unit with admin and accounts, so there are ways to get involved even if being a unit leader isn’t for you.

📸 The photos show some of our lovely Starburst Rangers learning new skills, supporting their community and enjoying adventures together. We’d love your help to make sure future Rangers get these opportunities too.

Feeling incredibly proud of our 1st Ockford Ridge Guides, who put on a fantastic show for their parents last night! 💛

There was so much talent on display—singing, dancing, keyboard playing, magic tricks, and joke telling 🎭🎶✨

To top it all off, they finished with this brilliant group song as their grand finale… such a wonderful event, with one parent describing it as heartwarming!

Well done girls—you were amazing 👏💫

We want to celebrating the women who lift, guide, cheer, comfort, and champion the young people in their lives. Whether you’re a mum, step‑mum, grandparent, carer, big sister, foster parent, or a brilliant grown‑up who shows up with love, thank you for everything you do.

We also want to shine a little extra light on our incredible volunteers. So many of you give your time, energy, and hearts to support girls week after week, often on top of caring for your own families. You create safe spaces, spark confidence, and help girls discover just how powerful they can be. That’s a gift that lasts far beyond today.

It's getting very Christmassy around here! Looks like our 2nd Milford Brownies had a great time at their Christmas residential 🎅🎄☃️❄️

Our 1st Ockford Ridge Guides had a wonderful day yesterday — they went to Wembley Stadium to watch the England Lionesses take on China, and what an incredible match it was, filled with excitement and plenty of goals! ⚽️

Some of the Guides had asked to see a women’s football match together, so their fantastic leaders made it happen. The Lionesses were so inspiring, and it was amazing for our girls to see their heroes in action.

It’s so important that they grow up knowing they can follow in the footsteps of the brilliant Lionesses — aiming high, breaking barriers, and chasing any dream they choose. 🌟 Who knows… maybe one day one of them could be the next Beth Mead, Chloe Kelly, or Lucy Bronze!

Even more special, two of the Guides made their Promise in the stadium — we bet not many other Girlguiding members can say they’ve done that!

A fantastic day of friendship, fun, and unforgettable memories.
