It is Pride Month. But what does that really mean for us here in Gloucestershire?
Pride began as a protest. It is still a protest. It is a way of saying we exist, we matter and we are proud to be different. It is also a reminder that our rights and safety have never been guaranteed. Many of our trans and non binary siblings are facing real hostility at the moment, and we want to hold that truth with care and support.
So this Pride Month, we are treating the celebration as a call to action.
A call to look after one another.
A call to build community.
A call to stay connected and creative.
A call to remember that none of us are alone.
Community is vital in times like these. Across Gloucestershire and the wider region there are many groups, organisations and networks offering support, connection and solidarity. We have gathered them all in one place so you can find what you need with ease.
