It is Pride Month. But what does that really mean for us here in Gloucestershire?

Pride began as a protest. It is still a protest. It is a way of saying we exist, we matter and we are proud to be different. It is also a reminder that our rights and safety have never been guaranteed. Many of our trans and non binary siblings are facing real hostility at the moment, and we want to hold that truth with care and support.

So this Pride Month, we are treating the celebration as a call to action.

A call to look after one another.

A call to build community.

A call to stay connected and creative.

A call to remember that none of us are alone.

Community is vital in times like these. Across Gloucestershire and the wider region there are many groups, organisations and networks offering support, connection and solidarity. We have gathered them all in one place so you can find what you need with ease.

• Reach out to your trans and non binary friends and family

• Make art, write, move, create. Self expression can be a powerful way to process pain

• Email your MP. have shared local MP contact details on their page

• Meet new people, build community and stay connected

Pride is a celebration, but it is also a reminder that we rise by holding each other close. We have free, fortnightly sessions for young people ages 13 to 25. Messgae us for more details.

Come join us at Glos College, Forest Campus today til 2.30. We're in the Atrium handing out leaflets. The students at the college are raising awareness and funds for our charity. They have created the most beautiful bracelets and badges.

Huge thanks to Glos College Cinderford Campus for thinking of us for their LGBTQIA Awareness day fundraiser! A few months ago, we got an email from one of their classes who wanted to support QFG. They're making bracelets and pins, and raising awareness. Aimee will be there on May 6th, so pop by, learn about our youth sessions, and get creative with your own pin!

We’re proud to share an exciting step forward for Q***r Futures Gloucestershire. 🎉

We’re launching a new Young Adult Group for LGBTQ+ people aged 18–25, creating a dedicated space where young adults can connect, explore their identities, and build a sense of belonging at a pivotal stage of life.

While support for younger people is vital, we know that the transition into adulthood brings its own challenges. Many LGBTQ+ young adults can experience isolation, uncertainty, or a lack of spaces where they feel fully seen and understood. This group is about changing that. It’s about offering a safe, affirming environment where people can share experiences, grow in confidence, and feel part of a community that genuinely gets it.

We’re incredibly proud to be expanding our offer in this way, and even prouder of the message it sends. Everyone deserves a space where they can live authentically and be supported to shape their future.

We’d really appreciate your help in spreading the word. If you work with, support, or know LGBTQ+ young people aged 18–25, please share this post and the QR code to help them access the group.

A heartfelt thank you to for their support in making this possible. Their funding is helping us create opportunities, strengthen community, and invest in brighter, more inclusive futures.

Please do get in touch if you feel this is something you would like to support, we are also looking for venues in Chelt and Glos.
