VACANCY: Chair of the Board of Trustees
Are you passionate about outdoor education and making a lasting difference in the lives of young people?
Following the recent retirement of our Chair, Viney Hill Christian Adventure Centre is seeking an experienced, passionate, and visionary leader to step into this vital voluntary role. Working in partnership with the Diocese of Gloucester, our mission is to provide inclusive, transformational outdoor experiences that inspire confidence and personal growth for all, regardless of background or ability. As Chair, you will shape our next chapter, guide our passionate Board of Trustees, and serve as a key link to diocesan teams.
What you need to know:
Commitment: Roughly 12 days a year, including 6 board meetings annually and sub-committee involvement.
Location: Meetings are a mix of on-site at our beautiful Forest of Dean centre and online via Teams during the winter.
Expenses: This is a voluntary role, but mileage and role-specific expenses are fully reimbursed.
Requirements: An enhanced DBS check is required, and there is an Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a communicant member of the Church of England.
Not looking for the Chair role? We are also looking for several new Trustees to join us! If you have experience in safeguarding, finance, HR, health & safety, education, or outdoor activities, we would love to hear from you.
