What a meeting at Toastmasters recently 👏

For his Level 5 Dynamic Leadership project, John Christie switched things up, hosting a c40-minute panel on hints and tips of public speaking instead of a traditional speech.

And he absolutely nailed it.

Brilliantly facilitated, John kept the energy high and the conversation flowing from start to finish.

We heard great insights from Rich Watts, George Jenkins, Hannah and Izzie - packed with practical tips, honest experiences, and plenty of value.

A fun, engaging reminder that leadership is about bringing people together and creating space for others to shine.

What a fantastic February it’s been at Gloucester Speakers Toastmasters! 🎉

We’ve had brilliant energy in the room, plenty of laughter, and most importantly lots of growth. It’s been great to see new members joining, returning guests coming back for more, and our regulars continuing to develop their speaking and leadership skills. 🎤

Behind the scenes, our leadership team and members work hard to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can learn, practise, and grow together. That strong sense of community is what makes our club special. 🤝

If you’ve ever thought about improving your confidence, communication, or public speaking skills, it’s never too late to start. 🚀

Last weeks Toastmasters session was fantastic 🙌

We had brilliant prepared speeches, creative and thought-provoking Table Topics, and the kind of energy that reminds you why this club is special. As always, it was not just about speaking, it was about the humour, the encouragement, and the safe space to stretch yourself a little further than you thought you could.

Every session, someone surprises themselves. That is my favourite part 😊

We are back on Tuesday 10th February, and it is never too late to join us as a guest. If you are even slightly curious, come along. We’ll make sure you feel welcome and supported from the moment you walk in.

We kicked off the year with a full house and great energy, it was brilliant to see so many familiar faces and new guests.

Highlights:

• A fun Dragons’ Den-style Table Topics session testing quick thinking

• Two strong prepared speeches that set the tone for the year

• And plenty of laughs as always

That’s a wrap for 2025 🎤🎄

Our final meeting of the year, our final set of speakers and what a way to head into Christmas. A full house once again, brilliant speeches, lots of laughs and a proper festive atmosphere to round things off nicely.

Huge thanks to all our speakers, members and guests who made the evening such a success. You brought the energy, the courage and the Christmas spirit. Here are a few snaps from the night 📸

Nights like this remind us how special it feels to be part of a community where people build confidence, find their voice, and support each other every step of the way 💬
