2025 was a vibrant year for Hucclecote Girlguiding. Each meeting has been met with enthusiasm, with all members working towards a range of inspiring badges both inside and outside of meeting time. This summer brought heavily anticipated new interest badges, which many girls have embraced, including gift maker and code breaker. This year has seen numerous sleepovers, camps, trips, celebrations both for our young members but also our leaders, flag dedication and our annual participation in Remembrance Day. This year, we also held our first Flamboree event, where the district came together to craft and sing around a campfire. We also had a brave group of Rainbows who went to the Steam museum on the train as part of a challenge badge, got diverted to Bristol and arrived home travelling First Class. A group of leaders had their own adventure this year and took part in the London 10 Bridges walk. The year has ended with a district trip to the ice skating rink and our popular Christmas tree trail for the local community. We have also participated in several fundraising events to support these activities.
Our Parent Support Committee, who run our beloved Dinglewell Trefoil Centre have also been busy organising Hucclecote Open Gardens, several afternoon teas and an Enchanted Lights Evening. This year marks 55 years since the opening of The Trefoil Centre, and several events are being planned, including a wine and cheese evening, open gardens, an exhibition on the history of guiding in Hucclecote, and a celebratory event towards the end of the year, with funds being put towards the next 55 years of guiding in Hucclecote.
Thank you to everyone who has supported yes!
