Child Bereavement UK

Child Bereavement UK We help children, young people, parents and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child dies or is dying. We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and co

rporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families. Child Bereavement UK offers confidential bereavement support for individuals, couples, children, young people, and families, by telephone, video or instant messenger, wherever you live in the UK. Our support team is available to respond to calls, Live Chat or email from 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (except bank holidays). Please note, messages can be left via telephone, email or Live Chat and we will respond as soon as possible on our next working day. Email: [email protected]

We know days like Father's Day can be so difficult when you're grieving. Thank you to our Youth Ambassador Nell for sharing her feelings around Father's Day and these special photos of her and her dad 💛

Whether you’re remembering your own dad, or are a dad yourself remembering your child, we’re here for you.

Leave a dedication to your dad, father figure, or child on our Dad Dedications memory wall and remember your special person this Father’s Day. It could be a favourite memory or moment of reflection, a photo or a written message, along with a donation in their memory.

You’ll be helping us bring hope to grieving children, young people and parents bereaved of a baby or child at a time when grief can feel at its heaviest.

This Carers Week, listen to our podcast episode from two Youth Ambassadors, Toby (20) and Iman (24), who were both young carers for their dads from childhood into their teens and discuss the responsibilities of caring for a seriously ill parent.

In this episode, they explore their different grief journeys but also find plenty of common ground. The conversation covers the impact on their childhoods, grieving while someone is alive, and feelings of both relief and guilt when they die.

Listen here or search Grief in Common wherever you get your podcasts. https://brnw.ch/21x3bl8
