🌊☕ A drink by the waterfront! 💙

The Lighthouse students enjoyed getting out and about for a lovely drink by the waterfront.

A chance to take in the views, have a chat, relax and enjoy some time together. Sometimes it’s the simple outings that make the best memories! 😊

We love making the most of our local community and finding new places to explore. 🌟

✨ Chasing dreams and discovering potential! ✨

We are so proud of our Claire for recognising her own potential and having the confidence to chase her dreams. 💙

Claire has been working hard to learn new skills and put them into practice — from cooking, to technology, to makeovers, she’s giving everything a go!

Claire would love to become a makeup artist, so recently she had a lovely girly session with Millie, practising new makeup techniques, sharing ideas and learning from each other. 💄✨

We love seeing Claire explore her interests, build her confidence and discover what she’s capable of. Because sometimes, believing in yourself is the first step towards making your dreams a reality. 🖤

⚓ Be the best you.

🧁 Baking at The Lighthouse! ✨

There’s nothing quite like the smell of something baking in the oven! 💙

At The Lighthouse, baking is about so much more than making something delicious. It’s a great opportunity to build confidence, learn practical skills and have fun along the way.

From following a recipe and measuring ingredients, to taking turns, using kitchen equipment, practising patience and cleaning up afterwards — there are lots of little learning opportunities packed into one activity.

And, of course, there’s the best bit… getting to enjoy what we’ve made! 😋

We love finding everyday activities that help our students learn, grow and become more independent — all while having a bit of fun along the way. ⚓💙

We absolutely love this. 💙

Because this is what Anchor is all about — walking alongside people as they move towards their goals.

Sometimes taking that first step can feel overwhelming. We’re there to offer encouragement, support and reassurance, helping break things down into manageable steps and build confidence along the way.

We don’t walk through the door for someone. We help them find the confidence to walk through it themselves. 🚪✨

Because with the right support, those doors can start to open. 💙

🎉 CELEBRATING 3 YEARS OF THE HUB! 🎉
Three years ago today, we opened the doors to Treasure Seekers Hub, creating a safe, vibrant, and welcoming space for individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs. What an incredible journey it has been! 💙

When life throws you a curveball… turn it into a learning experience! 🌳✨

Our Lighthouse summer BBQ was postponed until September because of the extreme heat, so we were really looking forward to finally enjoying our day at Robinswood Hill.

Unfortunately, when we arrived, we discovered that the BBQ ban was still in place! 🔥🚫

But sometimes life doesn’t go exactly to plan — and that’s a learning opportunity too! Our students had the chance to practise being flexible, adapting to unexpected changes and making the most of the situation.

Thankfully, Donna and the wonderful team at The Cavern Kitchen came to our rescue at the last minute and made each of our students a sandwich. 🥪💙 Thank you so much!

Despite the change of plans, we still had a fantastic time together, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with friends and making memories. 😊

A huge thank you also to Martin and the team at Community Connections for getting us safely to and from Robinswood Hill. We really appreciate your support! 💙

Sometimes things don’t go to plan — but with a little flexibility, support and a positive attitude, we can still have a brilliant day! 🌟

Recently, Tanya enjoyed some time cooking in the Wiggly Worm kitchen! 🥘👩‍🍳

Tanya is already a fantastic cook, so this session was all about having fun, trying out some new recipes and developing new skills. It was also a great opportunity to practise being part of a group and learning alongside others.

Trainer Millie was really impressed with Tanya’s listening skills and how well she followed instructions. 👏

And, of course, the smiles say it all! 🖤
