Stroud District Council is currently seeking your views through its Local Plan Early Scoping Consultation, and this is your opportunity to influence future development, housing, transport, green spaces, infrastructure and more.

By taking a few minutes to respond, you can help ensure local priorities, concerns and aspirations are heard before plans are developed further.

Whether you're concerned about protecting the countryside, improving local services or managing growth, your feedback can make a difference.

We wish to make Slimbridge Parish residents aware that a separate new consultation is now live.

👀 Please keep an eye out for an email tomorrow with guidance on how to respond / and ways to get involved.

❗ This consultation is not related to the existing draft local plan, which remains under examination in public by the independent planning inspectors.

WAG has reviewed this new consultation and finalising its response.

🤝 We are liaising closely with the Parish Council as part of this process.

📢 Update on the draft Stroud District Local Plan Examination.

Stroud District Council has published the latest letter from the Planning Inspectors.
After reviewing the responses received and considering the issues raised, the Inspectors have decided that a further hearing session is necessary. This additional session will focus specifically on the updated strategic transport evidence and the recent responses submitted.
The hearing will take place as soon as possible. While members of the public will not be able to attend in person, it is expected that the session will be available to view online. As soon as a date is confirmed, we will share the details with everyone.
WAG will be listening closely to the hearing and will provide a summary and update to the community afterwards.
This latest decision demonstrates that important and significant questions remain regarding the evidence underpinning the draft Local Plan, particularly in relation to transport impacts.
