We know how tough it can be taking on the role of a primary family carer.

Managing appointments, organising medication, helping with everyday tasks and making sure your loved one has everything they need can take up a lot of time and energy, often alongside your own work, family and personal commitments.

Our services are designed to support carers as well as the people receiving care. Our Care at Home service and Azalea Day Clubs can give you some valuable time away from caring, with the reassurance that your loved one is safe, supported and in good hands.

Sometimes, having a little time to yourself is exactly what you need to rest or catch up on everyday life.

If you're caring for someone and feel like you could use some extra support, our team is here to help you explore what's available.

One of the loveliest parts of our Azalea Day Club is seeing new friendships form 🌼

These two lovely ladies met through the Azalea Day Club and now see each other regularly at the club, catching up, taking part in activities and enjoying time together.

Social connection is such an important part of what our day clubs offer. They provide a welcoming place to meet new people and build friendships.

And while our attendees are enjoying their day, family carers have valuable time away from their caring responsibilities, with the reassurance that their loved one is supported and enjoying themselves.

Our Azalea Day Clubs offer a warm and welcoming space for activities, social interaction and, most importantly, plenty of laughs.

However, we understand that for people who can't drive, getting out and staying connected and be difficult, especially for those living in rural areas.

That's why accessible transport is such an important part of our Azalea Day Clubs. Our accessible minibuses help attendees travel safely to and from their local clubs.

We now have 10 Azalea Day Clubs clubs running every week throughout Gloucestershire.

Care at Home looks different for everybody.

For Jeremy, his regular visit includes a trip to the driving range, followed by a well-deserved cup of coffee ☕️

It's something he enjoys, but also offers the opportunity to get out of the house and continue doing an activity he enjoys.

Our Care at Home service is tailored around the needs, interests and routines of each individual. For one person, that may be a walk around the village, for another it may be support with more complex care needs.

If you or someone you know may benefit from support at home, get in touch with our team below.

Today is World Mental Health day, and we want to shine a light on the physical and emotional load that family carers take on.

Caring for a loved one is incredibly rewarding, but can also bring additional pressures, responsibilities and worries on top of everyday life. When so much time is focused on supporting someone else's needs, often finding time for yourself becomes difficult.

Having some support in place, even for a couple of hours a week, can help offer family carers some respite, some time to fill their own cup.

Our services our designed to not only support those who need direct care but the family carers alongside them.

For many, balancing work and caring for a loved one is an everyday challenge.

As caring responsibilities increase, you may feel as if you need to be in two places at once.

Having the right support in place can provide some much-needed reassurance during your working day.

Our Care at Home and Azalea Day Clubs offer professional, person-centred care for those living with health conditions, disabilities or experiencing loneliness. They also offer family carers peace of mind and valuable time to work, complete everyday errands or simply take some time for themselves.

If you or a family member needs some additional support, get in touch with our team to find out more.

For many people, recognising that they are a family carer can be the first and often one of the hardest steps towards getting the support they need and deserve.

Caring responsibilities often build gradually. It might start with picking up prescriptions or arranging appointments, before progressing into more regular or essential day-to-day care.

But recognising the role you have taken on is important, because it also means recognising that support is available for you too.

We support unpaid carers in many different circumstances, whether you need some regular time away from caring, additional support at home, or simply want to understand what options are available.

You don’t have to wait until things become too much to ask for support.

Today is International Day of Older People, a day to celebrate the people, places and services that help us to stay active in the community as we age.

This year's theme is 'What's on my doorstep' - looking at what's available in our local communities that can influence how we age - parks, GP's, social groups...

But if you don’t drive or have easy access to transport, what’s on your doorstep can suddenly feel much smaller.

At Crossroads Care Gloucestershire, our Azalea Day Clubs provide a welcoming place for
people living with health conditions, disabilities or are experiencing loneliness. Many of our lovely attendees are older, and their weekly visits offer an opportunity to get out of the house, enjoy activities and engage with others.

That's why our accessible transport service is such an important part of our service. We provide transport across Gloucestershire, helping people living in more rural and remote communities access our clubs and stay connected to the people and activities around them.

Thank you to the Centre for Ageing Better for leading this year’s International Day of Older People and encouraging us all to think about what’s available on our doorstep and how accessible it really is 💛

Making a difference, together.

At the Crossroads Care Azalea Day Club, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to stay connected, try new things and enjoy meaningful experiences in a warm and welcoming environment.

From meeting new people and taking part in activities, to getting out and enjoying the local community, our clubs are about supporting independence while creating moments of joy and connection.

And it’s not just the people attending who benefit - having a safe, supportive place to spend time can make a meaningful difference to families and loved ones too.

We’re so grateful to the families who take the time to share their experiences with us. Your kind words mean so much to our team.
