THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS!

The ASEAN Heritage Park (AHP) Youth Camp cm Cultural Exchange and Mobilization of Youth Environment Ambassadors is coming to the Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary (AMWS) on August 17–20, 2026!

Theme: "From Floating Communities to Global Conservation: Youth Leading the Way"

This four-day camp will bring together student leaders, aspiring environmental ambassadors, and youth representatives from universities across Caraga Region for an inspiring journey of learning, cultural exchange, leadership, and environmental action in one of the Philippines' most important wetlands, an ASEAN Heritage Park, a Ramsar Site, and a Flyway Network Site– Agusan Marsh.

Meet the next generation of Youth Environment Ambassadors as they immerse themselves in biodiversity conservation, wetland appreciation, Indigenous cultural experiences, environmental leadership, and community engagement. Together, they will become champions of Agusan Marsh and advocates for protecting our shared natural heritage.

📣 We invite our partner agencies, LGUs, academic institutions, NGOs, private sector partners, communities, and the public to support this meaningful initiative. Your encouragement and partnership will help empower our youth to become future conservation leaders and inspire collective action for the protection of Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary.

Together, let us nurture a generation that protects biodiversity, values our wetlands, and leads the way toward a more sustainable future.

Three days left to support this physical citizen
science and restoration center at Lake Tota. Led by Fundación Montecito, it will train 300-500 youth annually as Guardians of Climate and Water. The project will equip a native species nursery, automated monitoring stations, and solar energy, uniting ancestral wisdom with science to defend the rights of wetlands.
Funcadíon Montecito is a leading light of wetland education and conservation, and even a small donation increases the match-funding potential.

As Director of the Observatorio de Santay, he has led innovative programmes that engage children, families, schools, and local communities—bringing wetlands to life as vibrant, shared landscapes essential for both biodiversity and human well-being.
