As we close this work week, we reflect on the powerful words of Shirley Chisholm:

"The emotional, sexual, and psychological stereotyping of females begins when the doctor says: It's a girl."

This quote is more than history. It is a reminder of the labels, expectations, and barriers many women still face today.

To every woman who has fought to be heard. To every woman who has rebuilt after adversity. To every woman breaking cycles, challenging stereotypes, and creating new possibilities for herself and others, Your story matters...Your voice matters...Your future matters.

When women support women, we don't just change lives, we change history. 💜

Today we honour Bell Hooks; author, activist, educator, and one of the most influential voices for equality and social justice.

Bell Hooks taught us that healing, empowerment, and change happen through connection, community, and courage. Her work continues to inspire women to find their voice, challenge injustice, and create spaces where others feel seen, heard, and valued.

"Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion." ~ Bell Hooks

A reminder that we are stronger when we support one another.

Today, we honour the remarkable legacy of Sojourner Truth, an abolitionist, activist, and advocate for women's rights whose powerful words continue to resonate across generations.

Her famous question challenged society to recognise the dignity, strength, and humanity of Black women. It remains a powerful reminder that every voice matters and that the struggle for equality has been shaped by courageous women who refused to be silenced.

As we celebrate Black HerStory Month, we recognise the Black women whose resilience, leadership, and contributions have helped shape our communities, our history, and our future.

Let us continue to educate, empower, uplift, and honour the voices that inspire change.
