🧡💜 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐄’𝐒! 💜🧡

It’s been a week now since our great 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 at the brilliant Charlie’s Cafe , and we just want to say a big ‘Thank You’ once again.

We have a very special link to 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒆’𝒔 𝑪𝒂𝒇𝒆 as Cheltenham Round Table helped to seed fund it, and Jo and the team have very kindly allowed us to use it as our main meeting HQ for Gloucester Round Table 🙌

🙌 🤩 𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 - 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝘼 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙈𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙔! 🤩🙌

We’ve been taken aback by how amazing our local community has been in coming together to see if we could solve the issue of the young boy and his stolen bike.
Several of you messaged in offering fantastic bikes to replace the one he had taken - so kind and generous of you 🧡

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 📰 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘄 🙌

Thank you to everybody who shared our post yesterday, and especially to those of you who messaged in with the offers of the fantastic bikes 🚲

We in 𝐆𝐑𝐓 are so proud to be a part of it, and will continue to work as hard as we can to be there to help when it’s possible for us to do so 👍

🎅🍬 🙌 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐒! - 𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙊𝙉𝙎 𝙈𝙀𝙏𝙕 𝙒𝘼𝙔 🙌🍬🎅

HUGE thanks to Morrisons 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝘇 𝗪𝗮𝘆, and both store manager Yaz and Community Champion Wendy, for the generosity shown in donating these sweet tubs (with the promise of more!) to us at Gloucester Round Table for our Santa Sleigh 🛷🎅 visit to 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐧 - 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫.

As we do with Cheltenham Round Table every year in Cheltenham, we in 𝐆𝐑𝐓 shall be bringing Santa 🎅, the Christmas tunes 🎶, and some sweets and chocs 🍬 to hand out to the community.

We could not do this without the help of our great community partners such as the brilliant 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝘇 𝗪𝗮𝘆 - from the food containers recently donated (that have gone to everyone from Gloucestershire homeless to the people of Ukraine 🇺🇦) through to Christmas 🎄 you guys have given so generously, and we really appreciate it 👍🧡

Any chocs/sweets that are not used on the night shall be distributed to selected community groups, to spread the Christmas cheer as far as possible.

If you work at a local store and would also like to donate, just as Yaz and the team did, then please drop us a DM 📩
We will be sure to write you a ‘Thank You’ post, just like this one, to show our true appreciation 👍

👍🚲👦🏼 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓 - 𝘾𝘼𝙉 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙋? 👦🏼🚲👍

Today we were visiting our friends at the wonderful Redwell Centre-Matson, and while there we heard a request come in for a child in need.

A young year 6 boy from the local area sadly had his bike stolen last week. He uses this bike to ride to and from school, so not having one is a real issue for him.

𝗦𝗼, 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗱/𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲/𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵/𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗼𝗻/𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱/𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲 🚲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝟭𝟬-𝟭𝟮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱?

If so please could you DM us a photo and an address and we shall see about coming to collect/deliver it 🧡

We really appreciate the community help here - let’s see if we can find this boy a replacement bike and make his day! 😎 - The Gloucester Round Table Team 👍

🛷🎅𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐀 𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐘 #𝟐 🎅🛷

Gloucester Round Table’s Vice Chair Luke was once again joined by brand new prospective member Lee, to put in shift on the Cheltenham Round Table Santa Sleigh - this time to weld and fit a removable canopy to protect Santa if it gets a bit rainy in December🎅☔️ - the cost of which was kindly paid for by the excellent 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀: Garmur Future Abrasives Ltd 🙌

We’re doing our best to make sure the 𝐂𝐑𝐓 sleigh is AWESOME when we bring it to 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗰 𝟯𝗿𝗱 🙌🧡

We love our Gloucestershire communities, and Santa’s helper elves 🧝 have been working away for over two months now to make sure everything is just perfect for the Big Man’s visit 🎅

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗲 - once again he selflessly puts in a shift to help bring some magic to Matson this Christmas 🎄, and we haven’t even had him out on a social yet!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗗! 🤩

If you are a local man aged 18-45 and would like to get involved in all this goodness - from amazing socials, to raising thousands for local charities and good causes, to bringing smiles onto children’s faces when they see the Santa Sleigh 😃 🎅, then send us a DM 📩 - What are you waiting for⁉️

In 𝐆𝐑𝐓 we love live music, and therefore was no better way to celebrate 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙪𝙢 𝘿𝙖𝙮 than heading down to The Fleece Bristol to see two of our favourite tribute bands - the brilliant Alice in Chains UK 😎 and the incredible Brain Of J - The Pearl Jam Tribute Band 🤩

A couple of us headed down, made some new friends, met the band (and gave them each a 𝐆𝐑𝐓 badge), and rocked out hard!🤘

The bands were both amazing 💯 and one of the greatest things for the two of us (who are on the older end of RT) to see was just how many young people were absolutely loving the music, and the experience 🙌 🧡 - it was like being back in ‘92 all over again!

🎶 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒖𝒎 𝑫𝒂𝒚 🎶

What’s the one album you could listen to from start to finish… and then immediately play again?

On 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒖𝒎 𝑫𝒂𝒚, can we settle one of life’s great debates: what album has absolutely no skips?

The one that’s been the soundtrack to road trips, nights out, long drives, and questionable singing...

Rock, indie, dance, hip-hop, metal, Britpop, guilty pleasure - we’re not judging, but we do wanna know!

For our Chairman, Ross, it has to be 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐉𝐚𝐦 - 𝗧𝗲𝗻 🎸 - “Absolutely the album of my youth, and tonight we go to see the brilliant Brain Of J - The Pearl Jam Tribute Band to play it live!”🤘

💿 Drop your all-time, play-it-forever album in the comments. Bonus points if you tell us why👇

Let’s see which album gets the most votes and make the ultimate playlist! 🙌
