On behalf of Riki’s family, friends, team and board, we’d like to thank all who attended or watched the funeral yesterday.

It was a fitting sight to see that Riki’s funeral venue was packed to the rafters. I know we are all so grateful to have known him - ‘Mr Social Care’ as was said so many times over the last couple of weeks.

Also, we are so overwhelmed by the amount that has been donated to Hope For Tomorrow in his name.

The GCPA board and amazing staff team will continue to work for independent providers in Gloucestershire, carrying on Riki’s tireless work.

We’ll have a providers webinar next week, giving us all chance to look to the future, ensuring that social care in Gloucestershire remains a valued focus.

It is with deepest regret with which I have to inform you that Riki passed away this morning, following a brief illness. To his family, friends and his GCPA community he will be missed beyond words. RIP Riki, you were a truly amazing person and will be so deeply missed by all who knew you.
