The Friendship Cafe

The Friendship Cafe Youth and Community Centre We also work with a number of other organisations, to help improve our neighbourhood.

Friendship Cafe and GymNation provides mainly youth & community based activities, focusing
mainly but not exclusively on young people, children and families in the Barton & Tredworth areas of Gloucester City, although our users come from many different backgrounds and from all over the City and County, which means that we are used by hundreds of different people each week. These include other volu

ntary organisations such as the Polish Community and Bangladeshi Women's Group, to statutory agencies such as the Gloucestershire Constabulary and the City and County councils.

A superb way to start the week. A 3 mile circular route from Sneedhams Road to the Services, via the scenic route (along public rights of way), with ewes and baby lambs for extra company. A gem in the heart of the city.

We alternate between moderate walks with inclines and declines, to easier routes, which are a bit flatter, so that there is something for everyone and as a good introduction to walking in the countryside.

There was so much interest for this walk that it will be scheduled again in the coming weeks as unfortunately we couldn’t accommodate everyone.

Special thanks to our voluntary drivers, collectively helping to break barriers and improve accessibility ☀️ 🐑

Another day, another group, another area, another walk, up the hill onto the Cotswold Way, and back down through the reservoirs in Greater Witcombe. Wild garlic, blue bells, cows, horses, ducks, and swans were features of the day. Well done everyone!

Great morning with families, bug hunting, foraging, toasting dough to make bread, making s’mores, and being free in nature, with all ages, from tots to teens, and of course our lovely mums.

Thank you for sharing goodies over a lovely Eid picnic 🧺 in Wardens wood.

We ended the session with cows and views.

Thank you to Nicole from Cleeve Common and Helen from Cotswolds National Landscape for supporting our event.
