Another successful Christmas sleepover at Cranham Scout Centre with a fantastic group of 21 of our Thursday Beavers has come to an end - full of lots of 'The Nativity' themed activities and Christmassy fun.

In less than 24 hours they completed a range of silly challenges (snowball blowing championships, chopsticks snowball transfer, paper chain challenge, Lego sleigh challenge), went on a night hike, had a visit from Santa Claus, decorated Christmas tree cookies, had a movie night, created a range of crafts (photo wreaths, stained glass windows, Santa spoon puppets), performed finger puppet shows, played Mr Poppy's silly games (giant Kerplunk and Twister) and completed a range of problem solving and team building Nativity themed challenges!

This was also the first ever Beaver sleepover where we had to use Christmas music to wake them up for breakfast time - breakfast was almost cooked and the Beavers were still silent!

Thursday Beavers had a fantastic night at Cranham Scout Centre fire lighting, toasting marshmallows for s'mores and completing a torch CD challenge!

Registration to join Gloucester Gang Show 2026 closes soon!

Do you love to sing? Do you enjoy a good dance? Do you like to make new friends? Gloucester Gang Show might just be the place for you!

Main Gang members will be 9+ years old by Sunday 5th April 2026. You need to be a member of Scouting or Girlguiding to join. Registrations for Main Gang close on 31st August 2025. Auditions are Sunday 7th September 2025.

Mini Gang members will be aged between 6 and 9 years old by Sunday 5th April. Children aged between 9 and 11 (in primary school) may choose if they’d prefer to be in Mini or Main Gang. Mini Gang registrations close on Sunday 30th November 2025. Auditions will be held on Sunday 7th December.

*Main Gang rehearsals begin Wednesday 10th September. They are every Wednesday before Christmas and Wednesdays and Sundays after Christmas.

*Mini Gang rehearsals begin on Sunday 4th January 2026 and are every week until the show.

Today is International Friendship Day! 🫂

Being a part of Gloucester Gang Show gives people the chance to form incredible bonds whilst taking part in something they love. So many life-long friendships have come from being a part of the show. You know that you’ll always have people to rely on and friends who will help you when you need it.

We are so proud that we have given people the confidence to step out of their comfort zone and speak to new people. We would love to add more friends into our gang, often described as a ‘family’.
