Friends of The Dean

Friends of The Dean We are a registered charity, number 1198515. The unit focuses on rehabilitation, ensuring that the residents can live to their fullest ability.

We are a group of residents and family members whose mission it is to raise money to fund activities for the benefit and well-being of the residents at The Dean Neurological Centre in Gloucester. The Dean Neurological Centre cares for people from 18 to 100 years old who have a wide range of conditions affecting their neurological function; from brain injuries after road accidents, Parkinson's disease, through to multiple sclerosis and stroke.

Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets for our Christmas raffle, to be drawn during our resident’s party on Wednesday. The prize pile keeps growing, and has recently acquired a mini hamper, a signed Gloucester Rugby Club shirt, and many more festive additions.

Our current prize list includes:

• tickets to see both Cheltenham Town and Gloucester city football clubs
• tickets to Sherborne cinema
• a hair cut and blow dry
• a dry cut
• gin, vodka, prosecco, red and white wine
• chocolates, including Quality Street and Ferrero Rocher
• scented candles
• toiletries, including a selection of L’Occitane soaps
• jewel art pictures
• … and much more!

Tickets are £1 per strip and are available from Tim (room 27), or from the ward clerks on reception, and prize donations are gratefully accepted. Thank you!

Join us for the resident’s Black Tie Christmas Party! Music, fun, and a fish and chip supper. Tickets are £5 (or £3 for children) and include food, a cracker, and a raffle ticket; residents get in free 😉.
