Upton St Leonards Playgroup was established in 1966 and still continues to provide Early Years education in the heart of the village, supporting children and their families in a safe, nurturing and fun environment. UPTON ST LEONARDS PLAYGROUP
As an Early Years educator, Upton St Leonards Playgroup provides an opportunity for young children to play, explore, learn and develop. Activities are plan
ned according to the specific needs and interests of each child and are also guided by the close working partnership between staff and parents and/or carers. The learning environment offered at Upton St Leonards Playgroup is exceptional and extends beyond just the inside, taking advantage of the outdoors and unique experiences the local village has to offer. Children leave Upton St Leonards Playgroup ready to continue their educational journey at school. They are prepared, confident and capable little people. Since 1966, the playgroup has run independently and operated self-sufficiently. It's charitable status means that fundraising within the community is an integral part of that process and all proceeds raised through fundraising go straight back to the setting and children who need it most. The committee currently comprises of parents past and present, who voluntarily give of their time to support the management of the setting and seek to maintain the provision of the playgroup into the future.
