There are now over 50 local groups throughout Scotland. Indy Fifer Wimmin is the local group covering central Fife. Women for independence are an open and diverse network of women across Scotland who believe in Scottish independence and gender equality. We encourage women from all walks of life or political backgrounds or none, to join us in making

society a better place for all women. The traditional Scots word 'wimmin' is an expression of female independence.
