We support families in the Dunfermline & West Fife area - supporting carers by providing trained professional Care Assistants to care for loved ones and allow the carer to have some respite from the stress and isolation of constant care responsibilities. This includes people who care for older relatives, partners, children, siblings and even children caring for older relatives. This can become a f
ull time responsibility, creating isolation & personal stresses for the carer – young and old. We provide some relief from this by ensuring that carers can take time out to participate in other activities – work related, social, engaging in their local community and even simple shopping – with confidence. Our Care Assistants are fully disclosed, properly trained and qualified and follow very high standards set by both the Care Commission (which regulates our work) and Crossroads Dunfermline. This is essential to ensure safety and security for those being cared for and to provide piece of mind for carers enjoying a few hours a week of respite. We aim to match our Client with the right Care Assistant to provide the best service that provides confidence on the part of the carer and their family. We provide an initial assessment with the Carer to identify the needs and review this regularly. We help to promote caring and the vital role of the carer - through events, presentations, local press coverage and engagement with the wider community. We try to ensure that there is a better understanding of the value of carers and caring for others – and the work that Crossroads Dunfermline does to support carers and those they care for.
