This week, and last week, we have been able to really see the success of the hard work that our Cadets have been putting in at the Squadron.
Cpl Dowds - achieved Senior Cadet
Cpl Allsop - achieved Leading Cadet
Cdt Wood - achieved First Aid Blue
Cdt Brydie - achieved Blue First Aid, and First Class Cadet
Cdt Morrison - achieved Blue First Aid, and First Class Cadet
CI Dowds said "This is a real moment to celebrate and enjoy the outcome of the work they have put in, its been a tough 6 months with a lot of disruption, but they have stuck in and shown real commitment"
An exuberant CI Hay stated "The work in a short space of time, particularly for Cpl Allsop, and the new 1st Class cadets has been a real source of pride in how they have developed. All the cadets have shown real determination and credit to them!"
After some consideration, a thoughtful CI Ripley said "We've got a really great bunch of cadets here, and we can see the future of the squadron standing strong, helped by having a new Senior Cadet too"

Thanks - Open Evening.

Thanks to all the future cadets and their parents / carers that attended on Thursday night last week.

We showcased our adaptability!, discipline and exciting opportunities for future cadets to learn and enjoy the amazing activities that we offer. Well done to the squadron Cadets for their good efforts in making the evening happen. 💪🛩️

On the 21st May, 2311 Squadron will be hosting an open evening for prospective cadets, carers/parents and volunteers to come along and see what we do!

Squadron Premises Update

As many of you will be aware, due to ongoing structural issues we shall be continuing to parade from the 2311DF site in Leven on our normal parade evenings. Whilst we would have hoped for a better update, at present we understand that we are likely to parade at this location for a number of months yet - until suitable repairs to the Glenrothes site have been made. 💪🚧🔨

Despite this we still fully intend on developing the squadron and its Cadets to their full potential - get in touch if you have future cadets interested!

Two of our cadets had an amazing time at SNI Phoenix Camp last week, joining 100+ others from across the region 🙌

From First Aid and Leadership to Climbing, Shooting, and more — they built skills, gained qualifications, and made great connections along the way.

Camps are a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, boost confidence, independence, and teamwork 💪 They happen throughout the year, so look out for the signup!

Last night was a night of lows and highs, Loss and Profit. The low and Loss being FS Lewis Tobin ageing out and leaving the Corps,for now. The Highs and Profit were the promotions of Sgt Maxwell to Flight Sergeant, Corporal Oram to Sergeant, Cadet McCabe and Cadet Allsopp to Corporal. All very well deserved promotions in a time of turbulence to the Squadron. Keep up the good work folks. Thank you for your hard work and efforts in the last year.
