The Bytes Project has developed a workshop plan and youth-friendly resource pack to help youth organisations gather meaningful feedback from children and young people on DE’s draft youth work policy - Stronger Futures.

It is important that we support the voices of children and young people to continue informing this policy.

Final push for Voices for Impact survey completions!

The competition closes on 18 September, and the area/organisation with the highest number of completed surveys will win a £175 Amazon voucher.

There’s still time to encourage young people aged 9–25 to complete the surveys and share their views on the issues that matter most to them.

Every completed survey helps:

Strengthen youth voice
Inform local services
Support future planning
Build evidence for funding and decision-making

Please share with your networks, youth groups, schools, colleges and community organisations.

Register or get started here: https://voicesforimpact.ai/submit-your-group/

Let’s make sure young people’s voices are heard.

Every response submitted through Voices for Impact helps build a clearer picture of the opportunities, challenges and priorities facing young people today.

Whether it's wellbeing, safety, education, transport or digital access, young people's experiences matter.

We're asking organisations across Northern Ireland to help young people aged 9–25 have their say.

The organisation with the highest number of completed surveys by 18 September will win a £175 Amazon voucher.

Let's work together to make sure young people's voices influence future decisions.

We're excited to announce that Charlene Moleiro has been appointed as Bytes' Interim Chief Executive.

Charlene brings over 20 years of experience working with children and young people, with 12 years in the community and voluntary sector. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, she has been instrumental in driving our strategic development and growth across Northern Ireland's youth services.

In her new role, Charlene will lead Bytes with a focus on providing continuity and stability as we build on the strong foundations already in place. Outgoing CEO Stephen Dallas will remain with us through November to facilitate a smooth transition.

This appointment demonstrates the depth of talent within our Senior Management Team and our commitment to strong governance. We're confident in Charlene's leadership as we continue delivering quality services for young people across Northern Ireland.

Please join us in congratulating Charlene! 🙌

Can young people rely on public transport in your area?

The new Public Transport survey on Voices for Impact gives young people aged 9–25 the chance to share their experiences and ideas.

From getting to school, work, training or activities, transport plays a huge role in young people's lives.

Encourage young people you work with to complete the survey today and help ensure their views are heard.

Don't forget - the organisation with the highest number of completed surveys by 18 September will win a £175 Amazon voucher.

🚎 Ballymoney Translink Youth Event 🚎

Last week the Regional Translink Youth Forum brought young people from bytesnortheastteam and compass_advocacy_network for a youth event at Lislagan Farm.

Young people from Ballymoney had the opportunity to come together, share their views, have their voices heard and discuss public transport through fun activities and icebreakers.
