We regret to inform our community that we will not be holding our annual Black History Month event this year.

We remain committed to our mission of promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness throughout Somerset. While we are disappointed to pause this year’s celebration, we are already looking ahead and planning for a meaningful and engaging Black History Month event next year.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. We look forward to coming together with you in 2026 to celebrate with renewed energy and purpose.

Join our Youth Programme at the home of Black British history and connect with a community of young creatives. Applications are now open for the Black Cultural Archives' Youth Programme.

Our Youth Programme meets fortnightly to develop transferrable skills for a career in the arts and heritage sector. As part of our Youth Programme, you will have the opportunity to programme events at Black Cultural Archives and have access to a variety of enriching opportunities, including free trips to other cultural organisations and the opportunity to hear from expert speakers. We are currently looking to recruit 13 additional 16–25 year-olds to be members of the Youth Programme. Don't miss this opportunity to make an impact in the community!
