🚌 New Bus Stop at Avalon Marshes Centre – Starts 22 April 2025!

For the first time ever, hop on the #668 bus from Street, Glastonbury, or Meare and arrive right at the heart of the Avalon Marshes!

Whether you’re coming for a peaceful walk around the nature reserves, a cuppa at the café, or a browse around the craft gallery — now you can leave the car at home and ride the bus instead.

✅ Just £3 each way – part of the national fare cap
✅ A perfect low-cost day out!

This new stop is part of Step, Ride, Thrive Active Travel Project - a pilot project promoting active travel and rural wellbeing. It’s a trial, so we need to show that rural transport matters. Every passenger helps make the case for keeping it going long-term! 💚

Glastonbury on the Bus is pushing for a new bus service connecting Glastonbury, Street, Pilton, and Compton Dundon with the nearest train station Castle Cary🚌🚄

FEEDBACK NEEDED ON SOMERSET’S BUSES

We have a couple of bus meetings in December with bus operators and with Somerset Council.

Bus timetables for Buses of Somerset / First West generally change twice a year. The next timetable change will take place in April so timetables will be finalised in January. We would like to hear your feedback on Somerset’s Buses so we can pass this on.

Has the service improved at all over the last month?

What additional changes to bus services would you like to see:

- Changing of time of xx service at ###x (state time and direction of travel)
- Early morning bus to get to work on the ### service
- ### (Name bus operator and number of bus service) bus service via ### road
- Evening service on ### service
- Sunday service on ### service.
