Congratulations, Neil! We both look forward to working with you! ⚜️
👏We are pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Kelly as Lead Volunteer for Clyde Region.
Neil brings a wealth of experience to the role through his volunteering at both local and district levels. Most recently, he has served as District Lead Volunteer for Calder District. Neil will take up this role on the 1st May.
Neil shared:
“I’m really looking forward to stepping into the role of Regional Lead Volunteer for Clyde Region. Marion Rankin leaves big shoes to fill, but I’m genuinely excited about the challenges and opportunities ahead.
I came to Scouting a little later than most, joining as a Scout, though I’m just old enough to remember the Venture Scout days. During my time as District Commissioner for Calder District, I’ve been fortunate to work across every section—from Squirrels through to Network—and to support a wide range of adult volunteers along the way. Scouting is more than something I do; it’s my hobby, and it matters to me that it stays fun. I hope to help both young people and adult volunteers across Clyde Region enjoy Scouting as much as I do.”
We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to Marion Rankin for her service as Regional Lead Volunteer over the past 11 years. Her commitment and leadership have been greatly appreciated and have helped ensure that Clyde Region remains at the forefront of Scouting across Scotland. We understand the region is planning an opportunity to formally thank Marion for her service.
🌟Please join us in congratulating Neil and offering him your full support as he takes on this important role.
