🔥Frantic Assembly’s Ignition is BACK for 2026, and we are delighted to be taking part!
Ignition is the free nationwide talent development programme for people aged 16-24 with limited experience of the arts.

Free taster trials led by theatre-makers will be held across the UK throughout September and October, from which 24 participants will be selected to travel to London for five days of training with Frantic to devise original pieces of theatre for public performance.

We will be hosting two two-hour trials at our Rockvilla HQ in Glasgow on Saturday 26 September📅 No experience necessary, just bring loads of energy!

Sign-ups to participate will open on Monday 10 August at 9am.

Thanks so much to for inviting us along to their Unicorn Day today. We facilitated people to make these beautiful sun prints (cyanotype) with plants gathered from our abundant local nature reserve, Castlemilk Woodland. It was so nice to meet so many new folks today, and see a few familiar faces.

If you didn’t collect your artwork we have it safely stored away. Come and collect it from us at the hub next week!

Come and see us at Unicorn Day today! We’ll be making sun prints of plants from our beautiful local nature reserve 🍃 🌺

We are very excited to be welcoming the King’s Baton Relay and Finnie the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games mascot to Unicorn Day on Wednesday 22 July at Castlemilk Stables.

Join us for a trail around Castlemilk Park, games, prizes and activities 1.30-3.30.

Please note: There will NOT be a Food and Fun session on Tuesday 21 July as we need to set up for the big event on 22 July.

We explored self-portrait making today in our Family Art Club drop-in. Rainbow faces and hands, swirls and squiggles, spider-man inspired profiles, collage and experiments with tissue paper and light. Each of them beautiful, unique and creative! Thanks to all the families who came along today!

All the materials we used today were donated to us from people all over Glasgow. Thanks so much!

Cassiltoun Housing Association are running a free Summer Wildflower ID event! It’s sure to be fascinating and a great way to learn more about what grows in our beautiful local nature reserve! 🌺 🪻🌾

On Saturday 25th July from 1pm the Community Woodland officer will be holding a Summer Wildflower ID event at Barlia football centre Castlemilk Community Football Trust but will also cover tips about wildflower meadow management.

You can also make whatever you would like to make. We have lots of paint, pencils, paper and glue so come along and get creative!
