Havana Glasgow Film Festival Bringing the very best of Cuban cinema and culture to Glasgow 11-16 November 2025 We celebrate Cuban film and culture in Havana's twin city of Glasgow.

In 2024, we are hosting an event on 20 July at CCA Glasgow, dedicated to the films of Cuban filmmakers Eduardo del Llano. We are also touring a mini film Cuban film festival around the Small Isles of Canna, Muck, Rum and Eigg 23 - 31 July. On 15-16 November 2024, we will hold a two day Cuban film fest at CCA Glasgow. From socialising to social commentary...we've got you this Friday night!

To kick off our weekend we're hosting a filmmaker social - connecting local filmmakers and cinephiles with some our Cuba's best filmmakers.

We're then screening Tomas Alea's 'La Ultima Cena / The Last Supper' - a powerful commentary on the intersections of colonialism and religion in Cuba. Whilst a masterpiece of the 1970s - this film's message reverberates today more than ever before.

Mirta Ibarra will then speak about her personal and professional relationship with Director of the film Tomas Alea in a highly entertaining and fascinating conversation.

These fabulous events will be followed by a PARTY, with free live music from from 10PM!
