Havana Glasgow Film Festival Bringing the very best of Cuban cinema and culture to Glasgow 11-16 November 2025 We celebrate Cuban film and culture in Havana's twin city of Glasgow.

In 2024, we are hosting an event on 20 July at CCA Glasgow, dedicated to the films of Cuban filmmakers Eduardo del Llano. We are also touring a mini film Cuban film festival around the Small Isles of Canna, Muck, Rum and Eigg 23 - 31 July. On 15-16 November 2024, we will hold a two day Cuban film fest at CCA Glasgow. A journey through the dramatic early years of the Cuban Revolution, when impossible dreams became possible. Guided by Fidel Castro's own words and the stunning black and white footage from the iconic newsreels of Santiago Alvarez, we witness some of the defining moments that transformed Cuba and influenced the world.

This timely, beautifully edited, short documentary offers us a window to a hope filled past. A past that can still be the future - 'Venceremos', We Shall Overcome.
