❄️WINTER WARMERS❄️

Can you help?

🔴 It’s that time of year again and Winter’s on the doorstep.
We’ve already supplied two schools with Winter coats, boots and hats and gloves for the onset of the cold weather.

🔵 But we know from experience that applications are nowhere near finished yet for warm winter clothing, for the long school walk to school and back and they will keep coming in till way into the turn of the year.

🟣 We didn’t run our School Uniform Campaign this Summer as we know how difficult things are out there for everyone. But with ever increasing rise in energy bills and other costs, we’re really worried for the children referred to us throughout the long Winter ahead.

🟢 If you can help provide brand new coats or boots or even if it’s only quantities of hats, gloves or scarves, can you get in touch with us please?
We’d be so grateful for any help you can provide. No matter what .. it all helps.

🟣 We get so caught up at Back to SchoolBank East Renfrewshire in doing what we do, we’re sometimes a bit late in saying THANK YOU to all the funders we rely on to help keep doing what we do!

🔵 One of those funders is Scottish Children's Lottery Trust.
This isn’t the first time we’ve been accepted for Grant Funding from them but each time it’s been such a welcome relief and allows us to continue our work year after year.

🔴 It goes without saying, that our thanks also extend to all those Scottish Children's Lottery players. Without their support, we in turn wouldn't be able to support everyone who is referred to us and, we hope, make a real difference within our local communities.

❤️ One of the very many THANK YOU notes we must send out is to Newton Mearns Baptist Church and their amazing congregation who, each year and week after week throughout the school holidays, drop by with endless boxes and bags of the most wonderful stationery and supplies.

💚 This is the most loved item out of all that’s packed into the children’s bags !!
It’s just perfect.

💙 Twice each year they do this .. so thank you to all of you. You’ve no idea the contribution this is in making an awful lot of children and of all ages, very, very happy.

🔴 Wednesday saw everyone start back to school for the new term.
Here at Back to SchoolBank East Renfrewshire it was no different from any other year. But it was truly wonderful to hear all the stories from our referrers and that so many children went back to class so happily with their brand new uniforms.
😍 Seems though that it’s still the pencil cases that win the day!!

🟢 We’re only now getting the floor cleared! .. we hadn’t seen it in a while!

But .. we can’t do any of this without the help of so many others.

🔵 To our SPONSORS and DONORS. .. every year, you’re literally knocking on our door with offers of help.

🟡 Whether shopping for us, ironing for us, packing for us or sorting out our room and our stock, our VOLUNTEERS were there day in and day out.

What a night!

The 6th All About Barrhead Awards was another glittering evening of celebration, laughter, and community pride. With a room full of inspiring individuals and businesses, we were absolutely thrilled to host another sold-out event, honouring the people and organisations who make Barrhead such a special place.
