I popped in to see the volunteers at the community Garden on Myrtle avenue lovingly cared for by the team from Lenzie and South Kirkintilloch Community Development Trust. I think a wee seed funding grant will help towards repairing / replacing the raised planters.

If there is anyone who can help out with planters, or anything else. This lovely garden is a wonderful place to help.

By the way, they are looking for a piper for Saturday 15th, can you help?

Fantastic turn out at EDCAHs first Hub Gathering:

26 attendees including local residents, Community Groups, East Dunbartonshire Council Representatives, Counsellors and even an MP.

We enjoyed guest speaker Vicky Ferguson from EDC Food Growing and Allotments at EDC and heard from community groups informing us of upcoming events including WRCED Festival, 2 NEB Film screenings and great work planned with young people throughout East Dunbartonshire.
The evening was positive and informative.

Our next Hub Gathering will be September in Torrance Caldwell Halls.

Are you or your organisation looking for funding at the moment?

We have found a fund that might fit the bill. Here is a link to The National Lottery small Eco Awards fund.

If you are applying, let us know, we may be able to help support your projects.

Summer has a way of making us notice things. We’re often outside more, moving through our local areas at a slower pace, and suddenly looking at familiar things with fresh eyes:
