Join us please.

There were shameful scenes in Glasgow on Tuesday night when people of colour were physically attacked by marauding gangs of masked white men dressed in black, meting out collective punishment & bringing racist pogroms to our streets.

Scared and angry at the scenes of racist violence?

You're not alone.

We see what’s happening.

Fear and hatred are being used to turn us against each other.

That hatred has turned into racist violence.

This Saturday 13 June, join thousands in Glasgow and Belfast standing for equality, dignity and justice.

📍 Glasgow, Buchanan steps
📍 Belfast, Belfast City Hall
🕐 1pm, Saturday 13 June

Bring your friends. Bring your voice. Bring hope.

When we act together, we show the small violent minority that our solidarity is far greater than their hate.

Tommy Robinson claims that Russia is not an enemy of Britain as he meets Elon Musk’s father in Moscow, inciting more racial violence against minorities here in the UK.

Glaswegians of all backgrounds and and of all faiths and none will stand together against any attempts to spread violence and hatred in our communities. Time and again we have shown the far right that a majority of us reject their racist poison. On Tuesday we saw horrific scenes as 500 joined a far right protest in Glasgow. We will not allow fascists to march on our streets unopposed. Join us to reclaim our streets as anti-racist, anti-fascist and a community that welcomes all.

Shame on those especially Nigel Farage & Co who use this hideous crime to incite racist violence against migrants.

From Southport to Belfast, tragedy has too often been followed by attempts to scapegoat entire communities. Black and brown people are being targeted for crimes they did not commit simply because of who they are.

We cannot allow racism and fear to divide us. Those who have normalised anti-migrant and anti-minority rhetoric must acknowledge the consequences of their words.

We condemn this brutal attack on this innocent man in Belfast. Our response must be solidarity, not scapegoating; unity, not division. Together, we must stand against the far right and challenge fascism wherever it appears.

Our thoughts, prayers and solidarity are with the victim in Belfast. This was a cowardly and barbaric attack, and we must condemn it unequivocally.

Our thoughts, prayers and solidarity are with the victim in Belfast. This was a cowardly and barbaric attack, and we must condemn it unequivocally. The attacker must be punished swiftly and face the full force of the law.

The rioters who have set houses on fire in Belfast should be ashamed of themselves. Shame on those who use hideous crimes to incite racist violence.

One person’s criminality does not represent an entire community. His actions do not represent the vast majority of law-abiding citizens, just as we do not hold every man accountable for every act of male violence.

We have seen police officers and firefighters having to rescue families from these buildings, bringing them out through the flames. This attack does not give a green light to thugs and racists to go around burning homes while residents are asleep inside.

There is no difference between those who set homes alight and the barbaric attacker in Belfast when their intention is to cause serious harm. Deliberately setting fire to homes and properties while people are inside is an act of extreme violence that could easily result in loss of life. Had the police and firefighters not rescued the residents from these burning buildings, innocent people could have been killed or burned alive in their own homes.

This sort of thuggery and these attempts to fuel race wars are being encouraged by figures such as Farage and Robinson, and amplified by Musk, Russia and elements of the MAGA movement.

Last night in Glasgow, these thugs brutally attacked many people because of the colour of their skin.

Imagine, just imagine, if left-wing groups committed even a fraction of the violence and disorder that we witnessed last night. Right-wing politicians and commentators would be frothing with rage, demanding mass arrests of people on the left for incitement.

Not one of these masked thugs gives a damn about the poor man who was attacked in north Belfast.

The attack in Belfast was shocking, and those responsible must face the full force of the law.

People have the right to raise legitimate concerns, but violence, racism and disorder have no place in Scotland and serve only to divide our communities. We are strongest when we stand together.

The scenes we witnessed in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Ayr last night were unacceptable.

Scotland is a welcoming nation, and those who choose to make their lives here are valued members of our communities.

The job of politicians is to unite the nation, not divide it through racist ideology, hatred, fearmongering, scapegoating and the deliberate stoking of social divisions.

Racism, hatred and intimidation have no place in Scotland. We must stand against them wherever they appear.

Why hold the world’s best tournament in a country whose president commits genocide, illegal wars, occupation, oppression, and human rights violations?

As much as we are all excited for the World Cup there is a real dark side to this one that just leaves a bad taste in the mouth and completely goes against everything the tournament has always meant to the world

There was always a concern that the USA were going to ruin it for everyone - and those fears are becoming a reality quite quickly 😢

❌ Africa’s top referee Omar Artan detained and deported at the airport, despite having a working visa, purely because he comes from a country the American’s dear leader doesn’t like in Somalia. Nothing less than pure discrimination and racism, that wouldn’t be accepted anywhere else

❌ The Senegal squad strip searched and treated like criminals on the runway after their plane landed, held on the runway for hours as all their bags were emptied and forced to take off their shoes and socks to be searched

❌ Iraq’s star striker held for SEVEN hours by immigration enforcement, with his phone confiscated, thrown in a cell and questioned repeatedly about what he thinks of his government and the US government, with the insistence on him saying nice things about Trump before finally being allowed to join the rest of the squad 🤯

❌ Iraq’s official camera man, hired to document their historic World Cup campaign, detained for 12 hours before being deported and denied entry to the US for no other reason that immigration enforcement officers deciding he wasn’t an important part of the travelling squad

❌ Iran forced to stay in Mexico, despite their 3 group games being in the US, and told they have to travel in and out on the day of the game and wouldn’t be permitted to train or stay overnight in the US

❌ Iran's official ticket allocation cancelled at last minute - leaving supporters who had already made travel plans unable to attend ‌their team's matches

❌ Uzbekistan players and coaching staff held, searched and their bags searched by sniffer dogs after getting off their team bus

❌ Fans from all countries having their visas or estas cancelled if any posts critical of Donald Trump are found on their social media accounts

❌ A mass shooting took place just a stones throw from England’s training camp - heightening fears of potential gun crime at or around the games

❌ Extortionate pricing on everything from tickets, accommodation, transport, beer, food and water

❌ Ridiculous walking bans at or near stadiums so it’s literally against the law to walk to some games (something that has always been a tradition for fans and created some great scenes)

❌ Some of the pitches in recent friendlies held in America would get a junior game cancelled and make Livi’s pitch look world class

🤦🏻‍♂️ And it’s not even started yet….

🇺🇸 The World Cup has always been about the world coming together, nations have literally halted wars in the past during the World Cup. Race, religion, political beliefs and national disputes put to one side for the world to enjoy its favourite obsession as one… but all of that now seems to be expendable in the name of keeping Trump happy 😢

Just all quite sad to see really

🇲🇽 Contrast that to a real footballing country like Mexico who have put on a big show of greeting all team arrivals with traditional music and the kind of fanfare the World Cup is known and loved for ❤️
