Flourishing Together Project

🍲 Iranian Cuisine Session

Food & Cultural Club

We explored the rich flavors of Iranian cuisine through
a traditional recipe shared by a member of our
community. The Women cooked together, learned about
special ingredients such as Zereshk (barberries), and
enjoyed a delicious shared meal that celebrated
culture, friendship, and wellbeing. 🍛💛

opportunity to use the kitchen, share experiences, and
enjoy a wonderful space together. 💛

For the Love of Festival was celebrated at the Empower Women for Change office, bringing women together to share stories, creativity, culture and connection.🎉💖

Together, we created a beautiful Courage Textile Tapestry celebrating shared cultures, languages and stories that make Govanhill such a special place.

It was a joyful space to nourish, create, learn new skills and connect with one another. Our fabric courage tapestry is a beautiful reminder of shared strength, creativity and resilience.

Today we combined nature and creativity at .

After a gentle walk, the ladies collected flowers and created beautiful pressed flower glass art pieces.

Everyone felt proud of their unique designs and left the session feeling inspired, relaxed, and accomplished. 🌸✨

Flourishing Together Project Girls’ ( Youth Club )

Outdoor Activities

Girls’ Club enjoyed a fantastic day at Linn Park with a group walk followed by fun team games, including balloon and water challenges.

The activities encouraged teamwork, confidence, friendship, and lots of laughter, especially when prizes were awarded at the end! 🎈💧🏆

Flourishing Together Project
(Mindfulness Club) Flock Movements Session

As part of the Flourishing Together Project, we enjoyed
a wonderful outdoor wellbeing session at Glasgow
Green in collaboration with .

Women and their daughters took part in a creative
Flock Movements activity inspired by the graceful
movements of birds.

The session combined gentle movement, fresh air, and
meaningful social connection, creating a calming and
uplifting experience for everyone involved. Filled with
laughter, mindfulness, and an appreciation of nature,
the event left participants feeling refreshed, energized,
and connected. 🌿🕊️

leading such an inspiring and engaging session.

A creative community event celebrated women's stories, cultures and resilience. Empower Women For Change participants did
drawing, tabric collage and words from their own languages to express identity, hope and belonging.
