Freedom in Expression: Joy in Creativity Project🎨

Creative Clay Workshop.

Participants explored self-expression through art, imagination, and hands-on clay sculpting.

From shaping unique creations to sharing stories and ideas, this session provided a welcoming space to connect, learn, and express individuality in a safe space. Every piece crafted reflected personal experiences, creativity, and the freedom to be heard through art.

We also celebrated the successful first phase of our project, and everyone enjoyed sharing a delicious continental one-dish meal. A wonderful moment of togetherness, laughter, and community!🧁🍟🥪

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the workshop such an inspiring and empowering experience. Together, we're building opportunities for creative expression and wellbeing for all.❤️💕

Threads of Connection: A Sustainable Tapestry Exhibition

Freedom in Expression: Joy in Creativity

Empower Women for Change is delighted to run a community-led wellbeing project from Jan–Nov 2026, supporting women from ethnic minority backgrounds particularly refugees and asylum seekers through creativity, connection, and wellbeing.

Participants are working with the artist and the wellbeing worker to co-design and co-facilitate creative arts and wellbeing activities including creative writing, painting, clay, glassmaking, collage, yoga, mindfulness, and storytelling.

Together, we are creating safe, culturally relevant spaces where women can express themselves, build confidence, and share their voices through creativity. 🌸

This project is funded by Inspire Scotland, The Scottish Government, and Creative Communities Scotland.
