IRPWA Scotland will be holding our annual Anti Internment march in Glasgow on 8th August. this year’s march will make its way through the East of the city finishing with a rally in Barrowland Park where we will hear from groups representing Political Prisoners in Ireland and beyond.
There are currently Irish Republicans in Maghaberry Gaol who have been remanded for up to six years awaiting trial.
Derry Republican Niall Sheerin remains in Maghaberry at the behest of MI5 through a MARA project despite having served his expected sentence.
As always we will be taking the opportunity to highlight the challenges facing Republican Prisoners and calling for an end to Internment in all its forms.
We would urge all Republicans, Socialists and Anti Imperialists to join us on the day and show their support for those incarcerated for their political beliefs.
