Reform UK won 17 seats in Holyrood this month after campaigning on anti-migrant rhetoric, nationalism and culture war politics.
Never before had the far right party won Holyrood seats in an election. Their rise didn’t happen overnight. It won’t disappear overnight either.
Reactionary politics grow when people feel isolated, disconnected, and angry. That’s why culture is important. Music scenes, community spaces and independent venues are places where people still meet each other outside algorithms, outrage and fear.
Scenes don’t automatically stay inclusive, they become what people build.
That’s what Love Music Hate Racism is about. Join us to party with a purpose.
