We are incredibly excited to be attending the 'Weekend of Scottishness' at The Barras this coming Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July!

Join us for the official launch of 'Maggie's Way', a massive celebration of Scotland's culture, heritage, food and community.

We will be there selling a fantastic range of freshly caught local seafood and running an oyster bar, with brilliant cooking demos from Brian Hannah. It’s going to be a great weekend, from 10 am till 4 pm both days. Check out the full event details in the image below.

🚨‼️We unexpectedly have a couple of places no available on our upcoming New Entrant Training Course starting next week on 13th of July!

Participants will take part in an intensive and exciting two-week training course where they will:

✅ Gain all STCW certifications necessary to work on board any vessel.

✅ Take part in essential hands-on training, including net mending, firefighting, and sea survival exercises.

✅ Receive a subsistence allowance throughout the course, plus support with travel and accommodation where required.

✅ Get personalised support from our Employability Officer to build confidence, develop crucial job skills, and find work in the maritime sector.

✅ Complete a fully supported four-week work placement on a local vessel at the end of the course, earning the Real Living Wage.

✅ Receive continued support after the six-week programme to pursue further opportunities within the sector.

✅ Bursary to purchase essential equipment such as PPE at the end of the programme.

Are you interested in pursuing a career at sea?

We are delighted to announce that applications for this year's Clyde Coastal Scheme in Argyll and Bute are now open!
With support from Argyll and Bute Council through the Scottish Government's No One Left Behind scheme, we are excited to offer 14 fully funded places on our comprehensive maritime training programme, starting in the summer of 2026.

This opportunity is open to anyone aged 15–66 living in Argyll and Bute who is currently unemployed or leaving school without a positive destination. We will be running two courses this year — one in Oban and one in Campbeltown — and we are able to provide accommodation wherever needed.
