“My kids couldn’t get out to play [in our last home], so we’re looking forward to exploring the area.”

For 22-year-old Louise and her family, moving into their new home in Bishopton means having a place where her children can play, explore and enjoy their surroundings.

Louise previously lived in a flat, where her children had limited options to get outside. Now, her family is settling into a new home and looking forward to making the most of their new community.

Louise is one of the tenants already living in the new affordable homes being delivered by Loretto. The development will provide 46 homes for social rent, with 36 families already moved in.

The new homes include energy-efficient one- and two-bedroom cottage flats, wheelchair-accessible homes and two- and three-bedroom family houses with an expected completion date in late 2026.

Since the Wheatley Foundation’s Imagination Library project began in 2016, 2063 children in Scotland have received 51,600 books 📚

For 475 children currently in our communities, that means a new story arriving through the letterbox every month until they turn five.

It also means the chance to develop a love of reading, explore their imaginations and share special reading moments with their families.

Today marks the first , a day inspired by Dolly Parton’s generosity and her lifelong commitment to putting books into the hands of children.

The Foundation are proud to be helping bring the joy of books to more children across our communities 💛

🆕 It's World Su***de Prevention Day and so we're thinking of everyone who has lost someone they love. 💜

Today we're publishing our new film, What I want you to know.

It tells the story of Phil Wanless and his son Fraser, who died by su***de in 2021.

Phil goes on a journey to explore the impact of bereavement, substance use, relationships and trauma and how that ultimately led to Fraser's death.

This film is really difficult, but so important, to watch.

If you do watch it, please make sure to look after yourself.
