The 121st Glasgow (Clarkston) Scout Group offers fun, challenge and adventure to over 375 youth members aged 6-18 years, and is supported by a dedicated team of over 60 adult volunteers.

FRIDAY CUBS

​Our Cubs had an absolute blast in Friday with a jam-packed evening of rhythm, baking, and special welcomes!

We kicked off the night by making and decorating our own samba shakers before parading around in a noisy, joyful mini carnival.

Taking a culinary trip to Sweden, the Cubs then tried their hand at baking delicious cinnamon rolls (Kanelbullar) and gathered together to enjoy a cozy, traditional fika break to taste their creations.

​To top off an incredible session, we officially invested 9 new Cubs into our pack during their promise ceremony. A massive welcome to our newest members—we are so excited to have you join the adventure with us, and a huge thank you to all the leaders and volunteers who helped make the night run so smoothly!

🇪🇸👩‍⚕️MONDAY SCOUTS👨‍⚕️🇪🇸

Last night we kicked off our brand-new programme for the term! ⚜️

The Scouts began working towards their Communicator Activity Badge by learning some Spanish, and also their Emergency Aid Staged Activity Badge. The sessions were led by two of our fantastic leaders, who happen to be a Spanish teacher and a Doctor in their day jobs!

They learned what to do in an emergency, practised making calls to the emergency services (through role play not for real)! They also learned how to deal with bleeding, burns, choking and asthma attacks.

We fitted in some games too and listened to the Scouts’ likes, dislikes and ideas for future activities.

Finally, massive congratulations to Cupcake, who was presented with his 10-Year Service Award! 🎉🎉🎉 That’s some achievement!🤩

FRIDAY CUBS
Auchengillan transformed into our very own Hogwarts base for our magical wizarding adventure camp!
We brewed tasty concoctions in potions class, uncovered the secrets of herbology, explored the wonders of muggle studies and had great fun caving and grass sledging. And although Ravenclaw won in our thrilling games of real-life Quidditch, it was Hufflepuff who lifted the house cup and became our Hogwarts champions!
As always, none of this is possible without our incredible leaders and young leaders who give their time so generously and always add a touch of magic to our events! 🥰✨
