One of the most important photographs Emmaus Glasgow resident B wanted to include in his new photo galleries, was this snap of Star Bar in Glasgow.

“You can get a three-course meal there for a few pounds,” B said.

“It stood out for me because I’ve been to soup kitchens in the past, and I know what it’s like to struggle.”

Now B has a stable home and tailored support at Emmaus Glasgow, B has designed, painted and curated two permanent photography galleries in both of the Emmaus Glasgow charity shops.

B hopes sales of his prints will boost Emmaus Glasgow’s vital work supporting people like him after homelessness and providing weekly soup kitchens for people in need.

Thanks to gardening volunteer Tom and resident Brian, our community has been tucking into fresh fruit and vegetables grown in our garden.

All the tomatoes from this season’s crop have been used in the kitchen with some chard spare to donate to a local café.

We’ve also had strawberries on the menu, and Brian has just seeded a new batch of carrots inside our polytunnel 👍😋
