Well, that's a wrap for the 2026 competition season!

We've had a thoroughly enjoyable season in our first year back in G3B, taking the Scottish Champions title, 3rd in the World Championships, 3rd in the Champion of Champions and 2nd in the drumming Champions of Champions! 🏆🎶🌳🥳

We're taking a bit of a break to prepare for a festival and concert in Bavaria in September 🍻🇩🇪 and then we'll be focused on preparations for 2027.

We have openings for snare and tenor drummers who are keen to play good music in a great environment. If you're playing at a grade 3 level or higher, feel free to get in touch - we'd be happy to hear from you.

Lastly - a big shout out to all our families, friends and sponsors for your support this year - we couldn't have done it without you.

It's World's eve (for some!)!!

Only 2 days until the band take to Glasgow Green to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships on Saturday. We compete in Grade 3B, heat 1 at 10.04am, and are looking forward to build on our win at the Scottish Championships a few weeks ago as well as our 2nd place at the combined grade 3 contest at Perth on Sunday.

We're also delighted to confirm that Bobby Allen has taken on the Pipe Sergeant's role, having been key to the Band's success this year and last. His first official outing as PS was that Championship win at Dumbarton - what an introduction!

Introducing the 2026 Grade 3b Scottish Pipe Band Champions 🏆

A superb performance by the team yesterday at Dumbarton saw Williamwood pick up top spot in the Grade. An amazing achievement in the first year back in Grade 3.

Well done to all taking part - it's been a pleasure playing in such a competitive but also supportive community. See you at the World's!
