It saddens us greatly to know that what was once our creative home and community, has now become an empty space with lots of kit and resources abandoned.

But at the end of the day it’s not the building that holds importance but the people that made it what it was.

We are still raising money for our crowdfunder to help artist relocating and covering staff costs for our team who have been put out of work over night. Please if you can spare anything at all or want to share our story - we appreciate it all greatly 🩷

🚨 FIRE SALE FOR EMERGENCY FUNDS 🚨

All proceeds from this emergency sale will directly support the charities, groups and studio holders affected and help save the creative community we’ve nurtured together.

If you have ever worked with us, had a studio, been to a gig or even heard about us, we would love it if you considered buying something from our emergency fire sale and sharing it around anyone you know. We only have 10 days to try and sell everything and raise as much as humanly possible to save The Space in some way. All items have been donated to the sale from all charities and studio holders as well as some individual staff and benefactors who want to see us survive this unmitigated and totally avoidable disaster. We have no legal support, no financial backers, the landlord has provided us no alternative space, or safe entry or even our 3 month’s notice period.

Full details on items on sale and how the auction works is linked in our bio and in the comments below. Please check it out and see if there is anything you would like to buy! We’d also hate to see anything going to waste when it could get a good home!

Secondly, we would like to say a MASSIVE thank you for everyone who has donated to our crowdfunder so far! We’ve raised £1000 already and cannot thank you enough for the support. Anything at all you can donate is so appreciated and we’ve been overwhelmed at the shares and words of support - thank you so much to everyone. Our crowdfunder is now LIVE!

Your support can make all the difference to help save the Glasgow creative communities we served after the devastating news of a fire and eviction which has lost us our creative home.

This crowdfunder will provide emergency funds to:

💜Help displaced artists with relocation and storage costs.
💜Pay vital staff wages for 2–3 months so we can regroup and rebuild.
💜Support the search for a new home for Dream Machine to continue serving Glasgow’s creative community.

We were delighted to have one of our Betty McAllister performances taking place last night in the dream room. These beautifully composed pieces by Rozan Vroman were great for hear and we strongly encourage everyone to come along to the next show of Patterns on the 11th of December.

“I’m making visuals that show the inspiration for the pieces and in that way I’m kind of taking you inside my head. From kaleidoscopic patterns to neurons, rivers, colours, clouds and atomic particles, we’re going to be immersed, both auditory and visually.
