We are continuing to fight for Fair Pay in HE! Join us at Gilmorehill and Garscube tomorrow morning.

Without support staff, universities wouldn't be able to function. We are striking alongside our sister branches and our sister unions to ensure fair pay and working conditions for our staff.

Come rain or shine, we are demanding FAIR PAY IN HE!

Today UCEA met with our national officer and other negotiators about the 2026/27 pay deal. We held a demonstration alongside Unison outside the ARC to remind UCEA that we won't accept substandard pay offers. We were delighted to have supporters from UCU and GMB as well! As ever, there is strength in numbers.

We had a series of rousing speeches from union reps, including our very own Hazel, as well as Andy Murray, our national officer.

Calling all members, students and allies!

UNISON and Unite will be on strike on Friday 10 April. In advance of that tomorrow (Thursday) we will be holding a demonstration - UCEA will be on campus for one of many pay talks for 2026/27.

This is a chance to let UCEA know that we are here, and we demand a proper pay rise! Please come along and show your support ✊

CALLING ALL MEMBERS! We will be ON STRIKE this Friday!

We are responding to UCEA's incredibly poor pay offer of 1.4% for the year 2025/26. This is yet another real terms pay cut for university staff when our wages have lagged behind inflation for years. We refuse to stand idly by while politicians continue to cut funding to higher education and put our livelihoods at risk.

Calling all members: we are GOING ON STRIKE next Friday 10th April.

This is over yet another pay cut imposed on us last year by the inept UCEA and the politicians deliberately starving our sector of finances by slashing central funding, freezing fees, and imposing hostile environments for migrant students who are currently the only ones we can actually break even on.

We don't take this lightly - any harm to our employer as a result of withdrawing our labour can be laid FULLY at the feet of UCEA and both governments. They have the power to stop this - many of us are on a 30% pay cut, and jobs are being lost left, right, and centre.

We will see you on the picket lines unless something changes this week. Keep an eye on your inbox, and recruit your colleagues.
