Kinning Park Complex

Kinning Park Complex Kinning Park Complex is an independent community centre in south Glasgow. The Complex can offer:
• Affordable rates.

Kinning Park Complex is a three storey red-sandstone building containing twelve studio spaces, a shared meeting room and two large halls. The Complex has been managed and maintained since 1996 by the building users on behalf of the wider community and is a registered Community Interest Company. We offer two large spaces for:
* community groups
* dance classes, martial arts and other physical activ

ities
* theatre rehearsals
* public meetings
* music workshops
* and all kinds of other events. Our hall hire charges vary according to circumstance. Our general rule is that we want the halls to be used and we don’t want money to be a barrier to people using them, so email us or give us a call and we can discuss.
• Flexibility. Halls can be booked for one-off events, for regular classes or, when available, they can be block booked for a period of weeks (e.g. for theatre companies seeking rehearsal space).
• Free on-street parking with easy loading. 24/7 access when it is required.
• Good transport links: opposite Kinning Park underground station, close to major bus routes, close to cycle routes, easy access on/off the M8. For bookings please email us at [email protected] and for more information visit us at http://www.kinningparkcomplex.org

What’s happening to our climate and nature? What does it mean for the UK? And what can we do to tackle the climate and nature crises?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing hosted by Extinction Rebellion (XR) Glasgow — an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌎 Extreme weather
🌎 Food security
🌎 Health
🌎 Cost of living

The film (48 mins long) is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

Come and join us at one of the activist events we’re hosting as part of our 30th anniversary celebrations! 🎉

Our community wouldn’t be where it is today without the activism that took place 30 years ago. It felt only right to highlight and celebrate incredible activism in our milestone celebration and provide opportunities for education. Come get involved! 💙
