The Public Library Improvement Fund 2026 is now open! 📚✨

If you’re part of a public library service in Scotland, this is your chance to bring creative, sustainable, and innovative projects to life. The fund helps libraries achieve the vision set out in Forward: Scotland’s Public Library Strategy 2021-2025, and is administered by the Scottish Library & Information Council on behalf of The Scottish Government.

Applications close at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 22nd.

As a library user, your experience matters too - and there is a short version of the survey just for you (about 5–8 minutes). The findings will help shape how libraries across Europe are supported by national governments and the European Union over the coming years.
