Leaders from every corner of the Scottish Parliament gathered after First Minister’s Questions yesterday to show their support for Wee Read - Scotland’s national reading moment, coming up on Wednesday 7 October!

From John Swinney to Russell Findlay, party leaders united to champion the joy of reading and the power of libraries. Wee Read, led by the Scottish Library and Information Council and supported by The Scottish Government, brings together libraries, culture, and literacy partners across Scotland for the National Year of Reading 2026.
