Hi,

My Freeman’s Choice this week features 2 hours of tracks from 1972 rock albums. You can hear the programme on Southern Sound tonight Tuesday 3rd March 2026 from 8 to 10 pm GMT.

There is no new indie music or “First and Last”, but I do have a “Connect 3” and “Who and What” quiz, the latter which is an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 and the title track to their fifth album released in 1972.

I will be playing you music by Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Eddie Kendricks, Genesis, Paul Simon, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Golden Earring, Jackson Browne, Eagles, Steely Dan, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Focus, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Status Quo, Elton John, David Bowie, Cat Stevens, and the “Who & What” band.
