We were treated to an interesting evening of thought provoking discussions and networking that we thoroughly enjoyed! It was great to see so many people attending the event, we cant wait to attend again next year!

🌍 Thank You for Joining Our People’s Emergency Briefing (PEB) Screening! 🎬

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Wednesday at the Community Wellbeing & Enterprise Hub at Rouken Glen for our PEB screening and took part in the discussion afterwards.

It was fantastic to see so many people come together to explore the challenges we face and discuss how communities can prepare for and respond to emergencies, whether caused by extreme weather, climate change, or other unexpected events.

The conversations highlighted just how important it is for people to be informed, connected, and ready to support one another. Building resilient communities starts with understanding the risks around us and working together to prepare for the future.

If you missed our screening, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved. 💚 Grants of up to £500 are available for community projects that:

This week, we're shining a spotlight on Mother Earth Hindu Temple in Newton Mearns, a vibrant community hub bringing people together through faith, culture, learning and community action.

The temple hosts a wide range of events and programmes throughout the year, creating opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn and celebrate together.

Freshly harvested and full of flavour, our radishes are this week's Pick of the Week! ❤️

This is our second radish harvest of the year, and we're delighted with the beautiful crop we've grown. Crisp, colourful, and packed with a peppery crunch, they're a great addition to salads, sandwiches, and many other dishes.

🍎🌶️ Apple Chutney & Apple Chilli Jelly Workshop 🌶️🍎

We had a fantastic time at our Apple Chutney and Apple Chilli Jelly Workshop as part of our Harvest Festival!

Using freshly picked apples from the Rouken Glen Park’s apple trees, participants learned how to transform a seasonal harvest into delicious homemade chutneys and jellies.

A huge thank you to Caroline Stuart for leading such an enjoyable and informative workshop, and to everyone who take part in the session.

The apple chilli jelly and apple chutney were a big hit, especially served with cheese and crackers during our tasting session! 🧀🍏
