✨ Voice Of The Child ✨
Over the last year, we’ve been proud to work alongside other Home-Starts to help develop a new framework to capture the Voice of the Child, in partnership with Elevate Great and BBC Children in Need.
Through this process, we’ve explored different ways to better understand children’s needs and how they communicate with us every day, whether that’s trying a new fruit, sharing toys with another child, or clapping and signing along to songs during group activities.
For many years, we have used observations of children’s behaviours and interactions to shape the activities we provide within our groups. These activities support children’s development, help build social skills, and strengthen bonds with parents and carers.
We are now looking at new ways to capture and record this important information, helping us demonstrate the positive impact our support and services have on children and families in our community.
