Nashville met Govan this week at the 12 Guitars’ Open Mic where the theme was all things Country. What a blast we had. Well done to everyone who took part.

This lovely Hohner guitar belonged to Zanzi(short for Zanzibar) real name William who was once part of the line up of Glasgow Blues Rock band,Big George and the Business. The guitar was donated in Zanzi’s memory by Mora.

Once the guitar had been serviced and restrung by our Guitar Techs, Paul (pictured with the guitar) introduced 12 Guitars to a working Student, Williams who was needing a guitar. We are grateful to Mora for donating the guitar in Zanzi’s memory and to Paul and Suzi for making the connection to Williams and also for handing the guitar over to Williams on our behalf.

A thank you also to good friend of 12 Guitars, Crawford Smith for introducing us to Paul and Suzi who had identified that Williams was in need of a guitar. With some teamwork we managed to join the dots.

Making the guitar accessible to everyone in the community. It’s what we do …….
