have SACKED a second union leader at for failing to charge a regular for a pint on a single occasion, in the most blatant example of union victimisation we’ve ever come across.

The worker was previously suspended for over 35 days for this allegation, the week after workers unionising at the restaurant lodged a collective grievance for serious health and safety issues and union recognition.

This dispute will only escalate until senior management get round the table and negotiate in good faith.

As we saw with BrewDog just last month, hospitality business owners like Jason Wells use venues as their own private bank account while hospitality workers pay the price through unpaid wages and job losses.

The law may be changing to strengthen individual rights but until company Directors are held personally responsible for stealing from workers, the best line of defence (and offence) remains unionising the sector.
